Will Pro Protect Work With My Garage?

Pro Protect is designed to work with most common residential garage-door installations, but compatibility should be confirmed before ordering.

Your Level 2 EV charging cable must measure 0.9" or less in diameter.

Installation

Pro Protect is designed for a straightforward DIY installation using common household tools. A replacement garage-door bottom seal is required for installation and works with Pro Protect to maintain a proper seal along the bottom of the door.

No structural modification to the garage door is required.

Important Compatibility Information — Read Before You Buy

To achieve a gap-free, sealed install, most garage doors will require a taller replacement bottom seal than what they were originally equipped with.

Before purchasing, please:

✔ Confirm your charging cable is 0.9" thick or less
✔ Order your 4" wide replacement bottom seal so you're ready to install. Visit our seals page for more information and assistance.
✔ Ensure your garage door shuts onto a level floor. See photos below for examples.
