Telling Your Door When To Stop
During the installation of UNDOR, you’re going to need to reset the limits on your garage door opener. This simple process lets your garage door opener know when to stop closing, and allows you to get your new seal to touch the floor with UNDOR in place. UNDOR raises your garage door by about an inch, and in some cases, that will be enough to trigger the anti-pinching safety features of your garage door opener. Resetting the limits fixes this problem and puts less stress on your garage door opener.
A simple process
For most automatic garage door openers, this is a straightforward and easy process. Most modern garage door openers have buttons located somewhere on the main unit. Older models, or some simpler models, may have a pair of knobs that you turn to set the opening and closing limits. Either way, this shouldn’t take more than a minute or two to complete.
Each manufacturer is going to have a slightly different method for doing this. We’ve linked below to some of the more popular brands in North America. If you don’t see your opener on this list, a quick Google search should bring you to what you’re looking for.
