How many UNDORs come in a box?

We ship UNDOR in pairs, so each box contains two UNDORs. We include two so that you can install one under each side of your garage door, keeping it level when closed. This also allows you to run two cables or hoses at the same time, giving you even more flexibility as the years go by.

How big of a cable can UNDOR accommodate?

UNDOR is designed to work with level 2 home charging cables. These are typically less than .8 of an inch thick. Most standard garden hoses are also this size, so they should work as well. Larger cables may work as well, but the gate may not close over them and hold the cable in place as advertised. If the cable is too large, the door may apply some pressure to it when closed. Do so at your own risk.

What tools will I need for installation?

UNDOR is designed to be installed easily by just about anyone. It’s DIY friendly, but you will need a few tools to get the job done. You will need the following: Hammer Drill Screwdriver Pencil Utility Knife It’s also recommended that you have some soapy water either in a bucket or spray bottle to make replacing the door seal easier.

What is included in the box?

UNDOR comes with the following in the box… A pair of UNDORs Masonry Drill Bit (2) Stainless Steel Screws (2) Concrete Plugs Instruction Booklet You will need to purchase a replacement garage door seal separately. Please see this page for more information on door seals.

Do I need to replace my door seal?

Most likely, yes. Most rubber or vinyl door seals crush over time, conforming to the distance between your garage door and the floor. UNDOR raises your garage door by a little over an inch, which will likely result in a small gap underneath your door. Replacing your door seal with a taller seal (4″ in most cases) will take up that gap and keep your garage sealed.

Do I have to use the included hardware to secure UNDOR to my floor?

We recommend using the included concrete anchors and stainless steel screws to keep UNDOR in place. There can be significant force applied to UNDOR when it’s holding your cable, and not securing it to your floor will cause it to move around when the door isn’t shut. If you would prefer to use your own hardware, including Tapcons or other methods of securing items to concrete, you are welcome to do so. We are not liable for damage to the product due to improper installation, please use your best judgment and think through your own solution before proceeding. It is strongly recommended that you follow the installation instructions as directed for the best results and to not void your warranty.

Can I use adhesive instead of drilling into my floor?

Yes, there are some great adhesive options for bonding UNDOR to your floor. Please check out this blog post for more information.

Does UNDOR work on all types of doors?

UNDOR is designed to work with roll up panel style doors, which are the most common type of garage door in North America. Up and over, gable or other stlyes of doors have not been tested with UNDOR and will not work. Please reach out if you have any questions prior to purchasing UNDOR.

If you find that UNDOR doesn’t work for your application you can return it within 60 days. It must be returned in the original packaging and in un-used condition. Damage from incorrect installation or misuse is not covered under our return policy. There is no fee to return your product, however, you are responsible for the return shipping costs. Will UNDOR support the weight of my garage door?

Yes! UNDOR is designed to hold the weight of your garage door so your cable doesn't.

What do I do if I have multiple garage doors?

The UNDOR Cable Protector kit is designed to work with a single garage door, regardless of its size. If you have a home with multiple garage doors and would like to run cables under each door, you can order multiple kits. We offer a 10% automatic discount if you order two (2) UNDOR kits.

Do I have to install UNDOR myself?

No! Feel free to contact your local garage door company or handyman for assistance with installation. We have found that many of our customers prefer to have a professional come and replace their door seal at a minimum. We are working on building out our own list of installers, which will be live on our website in the coming months.

This is the perfect solution! I’ve been looking for a safe method to run an EV cable under my garage door for a while and finally found it. The initial unit was a little bit to small for my Rivian Home Charging unit cable, but the revised new version fits perfectly. It sits in the slot without any rubbing or stress on the cable or Undor unit. It’s exactly what I need.

We love our UNDOR! We got our first EV a couple months ago and this solves our problem perfectly! My husband said that the door seal was the hardest part of the install, so just prep for that.

This was the perfect solution. I did a lot of searching and found that Undor would be the best. We just purchased our first EV, but are currently renting a house. Instead of paying over $2,000 to run permanent cables from the electrical panel, through the house, to the garage (for a house I don’t own), I opted to install an RV hookup on the panel and run a 50 foot, heavy-duty charging cable around the outside of the house. It was a lot cheaper, and a lot more temporary. I also had an issue with the concrete slabs in our garage being under tension. Because of that I couldn’t drill into it to secure the Undor units. Chris was very helpful and went out of his way in finding a solution. My charging cable is pretty thick and just barely fits in the unit, but now the garage door is not resting on it directly and I am more than satisfied.

Great product that solves a growing issue for EV adopters . Installation was easy and the instructions were clear and helpful. I can now safely charge my ETRON outside while my garage is occupied.

Received as ordered. Chris was helpful during installation process. I am not very good with DIY projects but was able to do it properly.only thing I screwed up was used impact driver and ended up stripping screw.( ignored advice in video). I had to move it a bit but still worked well.was able to install 4 inch garage door and use extra piece to bolster around cut. I have a little dip in garage floor so not much i can do there. I would recommend it. No more 2×4 !
